Advising clients on global brand-protection strategies; conducting IP due diligence for transactions; enforcing trademark rights through cease-and-desist actions, settlement negotiations, and online enforcement measures; conducting trademark searches and prosecuting domestic and international applications worldwide, representing clients in TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings; negotiating and drafting coexistence, licensing, and settlement agreements; managing cross-border intellectual property negotiations; overseeing anticounterfeiting actions and customs recordation; and counseling on advertising, labeling, unfair competition, and copyright matters.

Rui Geissler has practiced at the forefront of U.S. trademark law for more than 15 years, advising clients on all aspects of brand protection and enforcement. Her practice includes trademark clearance, counseling, prosecution, and opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).

She has expertise in assisting Asian companies with U.S. market entry and brand strategy, providing practical, business-oriented guidance grounded in extensive experience and cross-cultural understanding.

Her international career spans leading law firms in Beijing, Tokyo, and Washington, D.C., where she handled cross-border intellectual property transactions and investment matters involving complex multinational structures. She values developing long-term client relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and a deep understanding of commercial objectives.
