Biography:

I know how hard it is to create an invention and then patent it to protect it properly. I also appreciate the need for clarity for your management big money decisions that hinge on validity and infringement opinions. Fresh out of MIT in 1950 as a research chemical engineer, I worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from solvent extracting bitter components of orange juice to formulating sand molds for a steel foundry. Thereafter I worked on metal beneficiation both in industry as well as in the PTO when I examined patent applications from 1956 to 1959. Then I started in private practice. Worked on the polypropylene interference and thereafter on many different types of rubbery polymers and specialty acrylics. Was also involved in many pharmaceutical areas from anti-fertility drugs to nose drops. Have also worked on petroleum refinery processes and cryogenic separations since 1960.
