Sagun KC, Ph.D.
Biography:Sagun KC focuses his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, particularly in the area of pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics and biotechnology. His expertise lies in areas of highly technical arts such as antibody/protein biologics, structural biochemistry, microarrays, proteomics, bioinformatics, pharmacogenomics, and personalized medicine.
Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Dr. KC received his PhD in pharmacology via a joint program between Weill Cornell Medical College and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His doctoral dissertation examined a potential role of natural and synthetic antioxidants, as quenchers of free radicals generated during oxidative biogenesis, in cancer chemoprevention. He has published several research articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented posters and talks on the subject matter at various meetings and symposiums.
Dr. KC is recognized to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is the founder and president of operations of VariantIP Consulting, Inc.
