Mr. White is the author of the reference and study text "Chemical Patent Practice" which has been employed for over 25 years as both a teaching and research tool by patent practitioners worldwide. He has extensive experience in licensing, interferences, all phases of patent prosecution and as an expert witness in patent litigation. He was Chairman of the American Patent Law Association Chemical Practice Committee and Current Court Cases Subcommittees and a member of the Board of Managers of that Association. Mr. White was a Professorial Lecturer in Law at the George Washington University National Law Center, and a seminar lecturer on chemical patent practice over a 20-year period. Mr. WhiteÔs technical expertise is based on a B.A. degree in Chemistry and an MS degree in Organic Chemistry. Before obtaining a JD (with honors) from George Washington University Law School and entering the field of patent law he was a pharmaceutical chemist at the UpJohn Company. He is a member of the American, Federal Circuit, District of Columbia and Virginia Bar Associations, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Chemical Society and the Licensing Executive Society, of whose Technology Acquisition Committee he was chairman. He is a registered patent attorney and admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, Michigan and South Carolina and before the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal courts.
